This group is for the communication between members of the communities in Puerto Viejo and surrounding areas for animal relief. They try to help out wherever and whenever we can with all types of animals but our focus is on dogs. They feed, rescue, foster, neuter and treat street dogs, until they are ready for adoption.

When one girl succeeds in harnessing her power to make different choices, she inspires others to do so too. She starts a movement toward greater independence that impacts her family, her community, her country and the world. That’s Girls For Success (GFS). GFS is led and supported by people and partners who are committed to unlocking the power of local girls here in Hone Creek, Carbon and Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. We want to ensure that their voices, needs and motivations are met as they develop their skills for success.
Our belief in their potential as future leaders of their communities informs all that we do. The students, ages 6 to 16, live in the underserved community of Hone Creek, Costa Rica.
Donations to GFS are used to pay for teacher’s salary, rent, utilities, internet and school supplies. Currently, they are also raising funds to build our students a school of their own. 100% of funds raised go to these costs. The Board of Directors work energetically for GFS on an entirely volunteer basis.

Created from a place of passion and love, For Life Inc. is a non-profit organization that houses education and wellness projects globally. Our projects are formulated to fit the needs of the local populous and are centered around empowerment rather than dependence. We assist individuals, families and communities in becoming healthier and self sufficient.
Our mission is to increase access to education, raise health awareness, decrease the risk of obesity, malnutrition, and diet related disorders in underrepresented communities around the world.
Presently, we have For Life projects in Los Angeles, Jamaica and Cape Verde, West Africa.

Sports are a great way to introduce mentorship into a child’s life. These relationships are not only beneficial to the mentee but the mentor as well. Local sports can bring a community together, increasing meaningful connections and social bonds. This extends from the child athletes to include their parents.
Sport and recreation is not about winning, it’s about helping build stronger, healthier, happier, and safer communities. Communities that participate in sport and recreation develop strong social bonds.
Research proves that if a kid is physically active they do better at school. Physical activity enhances cognitive function improving memory, behavior, concentration and academic achievement.
This is why at BSRG we feel it is very important to support local sports teams.
